Cookie Policy

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are necessary for the site to work; others are used for analytics or advertising.
What we use
UrKavach uses only essential cookies: the sign-in cookie, plus two short-lived ones while you sign up or complete a two-factor login.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
sw_session | Keeps you signed in to your account and protects forms against forgery. Contains a random session identifier with an integrity signature, not personal data. | First-party, essential, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, Secure on HTTPS | Up to 14 days, or until you log out |
sw_signup | Links your browser to the sign-up you are in the middle of, so the emailed code can be checked. Random token, no personal data. | First-party, essential, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax | 15 minutes |
sw_2fa | Only if you use two-factor login: remembers that your password was correct while you enter the second code. Signed, no personal data. | First-party, essential, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax | 5 minutes |
The notice you may see on our pages remembers that you dismissed it using your browser's local storage (key uk_notice), not a cookie. It never leaves your device.
What we do not use
We do not use analytics, advertising, social media or other third-party cookies or trackers, and our public pages do not load third-party fonts, scripts or embeds. Because the cookies we set are strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for, we do not need your consent for it under the EU ePrivacy rules. If we ever add optional cookies we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block sw_session you will not be able to log in. Clearing site data removes the notice preference, so the notice may appear again.
